2) March 2013 Campus Crime Summary:

ROBBERY:

Three Robbery incidents were reported during March 2013 :

The first robbery incident occurred on March 26th at approximately 9:00 pm in the area of John R and Warren when a 20 year old Center for Creative Studies (CCS) student reported that he was walking south on John R, just north of Warren, when he was approached by two unknown males. One of the males displayed what appeared to be a silver handgun tucked in his waistband. The offender demanded the students cell phone and wallet. The student complied, surrendering his wallet and phone. The offenders took the property and fled on foot east on Warren. The CCS student was not injured.

The second robbery incident occurred inside Parking Structure #2 at approximately 5:17 pm on Wednesday , March 27 , 2013 . In that incident, a 28 year old female WSU staff member reported that while getting into her car she was approached by an unknown male. The subject grabbed her hand (which was holding her iPhone) and demanded, "Give me your cell phone!". The offender grabbed the cell phone and was last seen running out of the parking structure. The staff member was not injured. An area search by responding WSUPD Officers failed to locate the subject.

The third robbery incident, occurred on Woodward at E. Warren at approximately 9:00 pm on Wednesday , March 27, 2013 In that incident, a 18 year old male WSU student reported that he was walking southbound on Woodward at E. Warren where he was approached by three unknown males. One subject called out to him, "Hey Bro". The student kept walking and was approached from behind by subject #1 who grabbed him by his shoulder, displayed a handgun tucked in his waistband. At that point, subjects # 2 and #3 came from around the corner and stood on the sidewalk nearby. One of the offenders then reached into the student's pocket and removed his wallet. All three subjects then fled on foot south on Woodward Avenue. The student was not injured. Responding WSUPD Officers began an area search, but could not locate the offenders.

BURGLARY:

One Burglary was reported at Ghafari Hall on March 8th, 2013

LARCENY:

A total of fourteen (14) incidents of Larceny (theft of unattended property) were reported from ten different campus locations during March 2013 . Among the items left unattended and subsequently stolen were: 3 iPhones, one book bag containing a laptop computer, 1 wallet, 1 audio speaker, 1 keyboard, 1 coat, 1 back pack and 1 tool box full of tools.

VEHICLE THEFT:

One vehicle was reported stolen to WSUPD during March 2013 . That vehicle was stolen from a city street adjacent to a campus location:

March 24th St. Antoine south of E. Canfield 3:00 pm to 6:20 pm 1996 Ford Econoline Van

3) March 2013 Arrest Summary:

WSUPD Officers made a total of 99 arrests, during March 2013 , for a variety of offenses. The arrests were the end result of the investigation of suspicious persons or circumstances, either called in by members of our on and off campus community or observed by officers while on routine patrol, traffic stops, alarm run responses, targeted patrol efforts, rapid arrival to in-progress incidents, or completed crime report investigations by WSUPD Investigators. The following arrest incidents, some involving multiple charges, occurred either on campus or in the surrounding MidTown area.
