Crisis management
While Wayne State University works closely with with the WSUPD to keep campus safe and prevent crime, crises — including closures, inclement weather and campus emergencies — can occur. To provide a quick and appropriate response, Wayne State has a crisis management team composed of members of the campus community and the WSUPD. This team works together to appropriately assess the situation and form a response.
The responsibilities of the crisis management team include:
- Developing and updating the overall crisis plans
- Conducting crisis simulations
- Informing the campus about safety and crisis preparedness
- Ensuring that accurate and timely information is provided during an emergency
